Description

Similar to other beech trees, purple beech is deciduous, meaning it sheds its leaves in the fall. During this season, the tree’s purple leaves often transition to shades of copper and bronze, creating a captivating display of autumn colours. In the spring, as new leaves emerge, they maintain their characteristic purple hue, renewing the tree’s visual impact.

Purple beech trees are known for their slow to moderate growth, ultimately reaching a mature height of around 40 to 50 feet (12 to 15 meters). They are typically used as specimen trees in gardens and parks, where their unique foliage can be appreciated.
